Our Appalachian Walking Sticks are all crafted of recycled hardwoods from logging, landscaping and trimming projects (going green). All of our sticks are rustic and unique, keeping the characteristics of some of the oldest mountains. Each is sealed with polyurethane, and comes with a leather wrist strap and beads. All are different lengths and sizes. Great for gifts, hiking, protection, and a must for new graduates as they walk into the journey of life.
Buyers rave about our 1890s Tobacco Sticks, used to hang fresh-cut tobacco in the barn for curing. These are only available for a limited time while they last.
Our original "Special Edition" Ridgehopper Walking Sticks are handmade from select hardwoods. Each one is engraved with the "little people's" logo and feature:
* A leather wrist strap with beads
* A rubber cane tip
* Attached Smoky Mountain Medallion (not shown)
* Double-sealed with indoor, outdoor polyurethane
* Each walking stick has its own whimsical characteristics

For generations, folks in these mountains have told of the little people. They call them "Ridgehoppers."
This is the story of a boy named Carl, who once lived here, in a remote cabin, with his grandparents. Carl, and his wolf-dog Hoover, finally encountered the little people. What he discovered about them and their mystical friends taught him a lot about himself. This book will take you on his magical journey.
Masterfully written by Stone Owl, a native of these mountains, this classic tale will reveal the true story of the little people, and why, on certain moonlit nights, you might also snatch a glimpse of the Ridgehoppers.
