An Angel's There

I catch a glimpse.
I dare not stare.
I am here.
An angel's there.

I have my plan
But it's not mine.
I work so hard,
I drink my wine.

People live
And people die,
And every time
I wipe my eye.

But on the outskirts
Roaming round
Blending in
And watching ground

I catch a glimpse.
I dare not stare.
I am here.
An angel's there.

A woman in a grocery store,
A man in need outside the door.
An agent who has been informed
Smiles at me
No rich or poor.

It's all a test
And they've been told
Watch this person,
Young and old.

I catch a glimpse.
I dare not stare.
I am here.
An angel's there.

It hurts so much
When I do fall,
But angels wait
To hear my call.

When I cry out
They sing with joy
For I am learning
Toil from toy.

They advance
When I do well,
Together
We will tell the tale.

I catch a glimpse.
I dare not stare.
I am here.
An angel's there.

Someone out there
Really loves you,
One inside
And up above you.

Dust to dust
And wind to wind,
This world is just
A fire to tend.

But they are there
And always seeing.
Can you overcome
Your being?

Don't say words
With evil thought.
This crumbling world
Cannot be bought.

So below
And as above,
The lesson here
Is learn to love.

If you can do that
They will guide you.
Everything will
Bloom inside you.

But here is wisdom
Breathe it deep
For what I sow
Then I shall reap.

I catch a glimpse.
I dare not stare.
I am here.
An angel's there.
